2019 D23 Expo Hall D23 Panels

D23 has announced the day and time of two main panels that will be held in Hall D23. (Hall D23 holds over 6,800 guests and is located in Hall D)
We are already noticing some big changes to the Hall D23 line-up from previous years.

Friday August 23

  • 10:30 AM – The Disney Legends Awards Ceremony – We recently shared the names of the 2019 Legends Award Recipients And Ceremony details with you.

  • 3:30 pm – Disney + – Fans won’t want to miss this exclusive preview of Disney+ and its exciting slate of original films and series from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more. Yvette Nicole Brown (Lady and the TrampElena of Avalor) will host this star-studded presentation packed with never-before-seen content, surprise guests, performances, and reveals, including a first look at Lady and the TrampThe MandalorianHigh School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and many more.

Saturday August 24

  • 10:00 am – The Walt Disney Studios will hold a combined Live Action and Animated panel at this year’s D23 Expo. “Fans will see what’s on the drawing board for the acclaimed filmmakers at Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios and get a peek at the exciting slate of live-action projects, from Disney to Marvel Studios to Star Wars. As always, attendees will be treated to exclusive footage, special guest appearances, and more! “Go Behind the Scenes with The Walt Disney Studios, as Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Chief Creative Officer Jennifer Lee and Pixar Animation Studios’ Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter present never-before-seen footage and share surprise announcements. You’ll also catch musical performances and appearances by all-star voice talent from upcoming animation films.
  • 3:30 pm – Broadway: A 25th Anniversary Celebration –
    Hosted by Tony Award®-nominee Gavin Lee (Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast), the 75-minute concert will feature Heidi Blickenstaff (Freaky Friday, The Little Mermaid), Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins, Beauty and the Beast, On The Record), Kissy Simmons (The Lion King), Josh Strickland (Tarzan) and Alton Fitzgerald White (The Lion King). A six-piece band, led by Jim Abbott, will accompany performers as they lead the audience through Disney on Broadway’s Tony Award-winning catalogue. The performance will feature songs from Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Aida, Tarzan®, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, Newsies, Aladdin, Freaky Friday and Frozen. (Talent is subject to change)

Sunday August 25

  • 10:30 am – The Disney Parks Panel will move from Saturday to Sunday this year. The panel will be called the Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. At this panel Bob Chapek will share “what’s new and what’s next for resorts around the globe, including more about the transformational plans for Epcot at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.”
